It is a pleasure for our “Latin American International Trade Company” to offer you Colombian Cocoa (Code HS 18010000) of the highest quality. Cocoa has long been associated with luxury, fine dining, and wealth, and for a significant period, it was even linked to the nobility of the Aztecs. Today, cocoa is an essential product in food production and forms part of the daily diet of millions of people around the world.

Cocoa cultivation has spread across all tropical regions of the globe, encompassing territories in Asia and Africa, and remains one of the three most important crops in South and Central America, alongside coffee and corn. Due to the nature of its production—which requires manual cultivation and harvesting—and because of the ever-growing global consumption, cocoa’s supply is consistently lower than its demand on international markets.

Cocoa plantations typically begin producing after 3.5 to 4 years from planting. During 2020 and 2021, for well-known reasons, cocoa planting was reduced, in some cases to zero, around the world. This is now reflected in the current shortage and subsequent rise in international market prices.

Each year, the International Contest of “Chocolates Made at Origin” is held in Paris, organized by AVPA (Agency for the Valorization of Agricultural Products). One of the cocoa varieties we offer (Araucano model, Tame variety) has won this award on three occasions—in 2014, 2022, and 2023. Another variety we offer (Araucano model, Arauquita variety) was awarded in 2011.

We offer cocoa in its purest form—the bean—only minimally processed in its initial stage to strictly allow for international transport and trade. It remains fully available for any kind of industrial development and is presented in its most authentic form, which allows for full appreciation of its organoleptic qualities.

We offer three varieties, each with its own characteristics, but all of excellent quality, backed by the guarantee of consistent supply and preservation of quality over time.
